Buckley has managed Grimsby for over 10 years, across three spells |
Grimsby chairman John Fenty insists boss Alan Buckley can lift them from the wrong end of the League Two table. The Mariners have lost their last four league games, although Fenty does not want his support to be labelled as the dreaded "vote of confidence".
"I don't think anybody can say progress at the club's been good, but we have to look at what's happening in the entirety," he told Grimsby's website.
"It's not a vote of confidence and I wouldn't want it to come across as it."
Buckley is nearly a year into his third spell as Mariners manager, having replaced Graham Rodger in November 2006.
