Grimsby Town have snapped up defender Jamie Clarke from Boston United following the Pilgrims relegation from the Football League.
The 24-year-old has agreed a one-year deal at Blundell Park.
Clarke made over 50 appearances for Boston following earlier spells with Rochdale and Mansfield Town.
Grimsby boss Alan Buckley is also close to completing a deal for a new midfielder as he looks to strengthen his squad at Blundell Park.
