Bury have signed former Grimsby Town and Stoke City midfielder Marc Goodfellow on a free transfer. Goodfellow, 24, who was out of contract at Grimsby this summer, has agreed a 12-month deal with the Shakers.
Meanwhile, Ian Miller has left his position as assistant manager at Bury to join Leicester in a similar role.
Bury boss Chris Casper told the club website: "It came as a real bolt out of the blue, I can't stand in his way. It's come at a bad time for us."
