Grimsby Town full-back Gary Croft has signed a new one-year deal at the Blundell Park club. The 32-year-old, who returned to Grimsby for a second spell in July 2005, is the first player to sign up since Graham Rodger joined as manager.
Rodger has been told he will be given the financial backing to strengthen his squad following Town's play-off final defeat in May.
Seven more of Grimsby's senior players are also out of contract this summer.
