Wadsworth is busy reshaping Gretna in the transfer window |
Gretna have signed released Shrewsbury Town defender Danny Hall until the end of the season. The 24-year-old follows Sheffield United youngster Kyle Naughton, who will arrive on a loan deal.
The versatile 19-year-old, who has been used in midfield and attack as well as his natural left-back position, will join the Black and Whites on Monday.
Hall will go straight into the squad for Saturday's Scottish Cup fourth round visit to Morton.
"It's a great opportunity for me and one that I couldn't turn down," Hall told the club website.
"It will be a step-up from League Two but I'm confident in my own ability and hopefully I can do well for Gretna."
On Naughton, Gretna director of football Mick Wadsworth said: "He's a very talented young player.
"I've watched him several times already this season and have been very impressed overall."
Meanwhile, Evan Horwood will return to the Blades when his loan spell ends after the weekend.
"We're disappointed to be losing Evan as he has been outstanding for us," Wadsworth added.
In addition, three more players have exited Raydale in loan moves until the end of the season.
Defensive duo Michael Tait and Mark Birch have joined Unibond First Division North side Newcastle Blue Star, while veteran forward David Bingham has gone to Cowdenbeath.
