Rowan Alexander was delighted to restore pride |
Gretna manager Rowan Alexander praised his players for displaying the correct attitude in the second leg with Derry. The Scottish First Division side left the Uefa Cup 7-3 on aggregate but put on an improved showing in the return by gaining a 2-2 draw on the road.
Alexander said: "We showed great spirit and I'm delighted with the boys. They deserve a lot of credit for restoring some pride to the club.
"They have done remarkably well and should get a pat on the back."
