Stimson feels he needs a new challenge |
Mark Stimson says that although he enjoyed his time with Grays he resigned because he aspires to manage in the Football League. Stimson told BBC Essex: "I've had a great time at Grays and I want to make it clear I do not have a job lined-up, at the moment I am unemployed.
"My wife thinks I'm mad but I can now speak to people, whether my phone rings or not, only time will tell.
"I would like to manage a team in the Football League."
Stimson added: "I'd like to either be there or with a club who can get there. Grays can be a League side but that will take time, I think this year we had a great chance because of the start we made.
"I'd be pleased to speak to clubs. If I could be choosy it'd be a League club as that would be the natural progression in my career.
"It's a massive gamble but the way it's gone at Grays has given me a chance to speak to other people and put my ideas across."
