Daish knows his side missed a chance to close in on the play-offs |
Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish was left rueing his side's FA Trophy hang over as they slipped to a 3-0 home defeat to Rushen & Diamonds on Tuesday. The defeat leaves a severe dent in Ebbsfleet's chances of making the Blue Square Premier play-offs.
Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "It was just a bad night, no-one really performed. We missed a great chance to close the gap in the table."
Ebbsfleet remain nine points outside the play-offs with two games in hand.
Next up for the Fleet is the return leg of the FA Trophy semi-final against Aldershot where they will take a 3-1 lead into the tie at the Recreation Ground.
The winners will play either Torquay or York in the final at Wembley on 10 May.
