Ebbsfleet United's Gary MacDonald could miss the entire season after suffering a suspected ruptured Achilles tendon, reports BBC Radio Kent. The defender, signed from Woking during the summer, limped off late on during the 2-1 win against Northwich.
Fleet finished with nine men as they had already used all three substitutes, and also had James Smith sent off.
It was the club's first competitive game since changing their name from Gravesend & Northfleet.
