Gillingham manager Ronnie Jepson has moved to strenghten his squad by bringing in three new players. Forward Dean McDonald, midfielder Mark Bentley and right-back Duncan Jupp have all signed two-year deals on free transfers at the Priestfield Stadium.
Jepson told the club website: "I've done my homework - they are all hungry and are the types of lads I want."
McDonald, 20, joins from Ipswich while Jupp, 31, and Bentley, 28, both arrive from Southend.
