Hessenthaler has been a regular this season at the age of 40 |
Midfielder Andy Hessenthaler, 40, is to be rewarded for his 10 years at Gillingham with a testimonial. He joined the Gills from Watford for a club record 235,000 in 1996, took over as player-boss in June 2000, and lead them to 11th in the Championship.
He stepped down as boss in November 2004 and spent the remainder of the season on loan at Hull, but has been a virtual ever-present this season.
The 2000 play-off winning team will be reunited for the match at Priestfield.
