Jensen feels he could have aided Fulham's cause |
Claus Jensen claims he was forced out of Fulham by Lawrie Sanchez's arrival and the new manager's tactics. Jensen, 30, refused to sign a one-year contract extension in December, and its subsequent withdrawal leaves the Dane a free agent.
He said: "I didn't see a future for me at the club, the way Lawrie Sanchez wants to play doesn't appeal.
"The long-ball game has been pretty much what we've been doing and that isn't my kind of football."
Jensen joined Fulham from Charlton for 1.25m but his three years at Craven Cottage have been blighted by injury.
He battled his way back to full fitness, but claims he was under-used, making just 10 starts this season.
Jensen said: "This year has been more a case of me getting back to fitness after having nearly two seasons out, and I've done that quite successfully.

"The problem is that none of the managers chose to play me," added Jensen who felt he could have helped Fulham's cause as they flirted with relegation.
He said: "The spring was particularly frustrating because things weren't going well on the pitch and I wanted to help out because I felt I had something to offer.
"Obviously, I'm at fault a little because I didn't sign the new deal in December.
"I didn't feel I was ready to sign for a number of reasons and that played a part in the manager not picking me."
