Knight has won two England caps |
Fulham defender Zat Knight has signed a two-year contract extension. The 27-year-old, who suffered from a a freak jaw injury last season, has committed to the club until 2010.
Boss Lawrie Sanchez said: "Since I arrived at the club I've been impressed with Zat's commitment and attitude both on and off the pitch.
"He has a good understanding of the game which is reflected in his positional play. I'm sure that Zat will have a big part to play in my plans."
The defender, capped twice by England, had been linked with a move to Sunderland and Birmingham before agreeing to stay with his current club.
Sanchez added: "It's no secret that we conceded too many goals last season and that's something I'm determined to change.
"With the right back four, that will happen."
