Scunthorpe's on-loan midfielder Michael Timlin has returned to Fulham to have treatment on an ankle injury. The 20-year-old sustained the injury during the warm-up at Friday's match against Southend.
Scunthorpe boss Brian Laws told the club website: "When we took the strapping off at the end of the game, his ankle came up like a balloon."
Timlin's loan has a couple of weeks left to run so he faces a race against time to be fit before then.
