Point pleases Fulham
COLEMAN'S VIEW
Fulham's Steed Malbranque (right) tangles with Quinton Fortune
Fulham acting boss Steve Kean said his team could have won after Manchester United rested several players.

"I didn't think Roy Carroll would play, I thought Ryan Giggs and Ruud van Nistelrooy would and that they wouldn't have Roy Keane at the back." said Kean.

"We were four men out on what we thought their team would be.

"It gave us a lift when we heard their team. We said to the lads that if they stick to the game plan they would have a good chance."

Luis Boa Morte equalised for the Cottagers after former Fulham striker Louis Saha had given the visitors the lead.

But the main talking point remained a contentious refereeing decision.

Kean added that he felt referee Alan Wiley was correct not to award United a penalty after goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar tangled with Van Nistelrooy.

"Edwin definitely pulled his hands away," said Kean. "His momentum took him forward onto his front foot and Louis Saha was waiting for contact."
