Fulham aim to secure duo
Lee Clark and Louis Saha
Clark and Saha have been crucial in the Fulham team this season
Fulham manager Chris Coleman is aiming to secure Lee Clark and Louis Saha on long-term contracts.

The Cottagers want midfielder Clark and striker Saha to follow the example of key trio Steed Malbranque, Luis Boa Morte and Sylvain Legwinski - who have all extended their deals during the last month.

Malbranque stretched his contract from 2006 to 2007, while Boa Morte and Legwinski also added a year to their deals which now run until 2006.

The 31-year-old Clark is back to his best after two injury-ravaged seasons and has been the team's regular captain this season.

Saha, 25, has also been in great form and has sparked reports of a possible 5m bid from Manchester United.

"We'll be talking to Louis about signing - and we'll talk to Lee as well as he was outstanding against Liverpool," said Coleman.

"We have a good squad of players and we have to keep it together."

Another player who will be at the centre of contract talks during forthcoming weeks is on-loan Arsenal right-back Moritz Volz.

The 20-year-old is on a season-long deal at Loftus Road but can be recalled at 24 hours' notice - something Arsene Wenger may consider due to Laurent's four-match suspension which kicks in later this month.

"We want to keep Moritz and sign him on a permanent deal. We hope to get him in January," said Coleman.
