Tigana is on his way out of Fulham |
Fulham are to be quizzed over their plans for Craven Cottage by the London Assembly. Mohamed Al Fayed's club abandoned their home of 106 years last July and sparked outrage among fans when they shelved 100m redevelopment plans because they were too expensive.
Jean Tigana's team are groundsharing at Loftus Road this season and are poised to commit to another year at Queens Park Rangers' home.
The Cottage - which supporters fear will be sold in a 50m housing deal - is lying empty on the banks of the River Thames.
The issue has attracted the attention of the London Assembly, whose sport committee will question Fulham deputy managing director Lee Hoos on Wednesday.
A council spokesman told the Press Association: "The committee wants to find out how to help clubs remain in their local community and resist pressure to sell valuable sites."
Fulham fans will have their input in the meeting through Tom Greatrex of the 'Back to the Cottage' pressure group.
The London Assembly are also concerned over the future of Brentford, who could sell their ground, and Wimbledon, who are moving to Milton Keynes.
Ron Noades, who has resigned as Brentford chairman, has said he will attend the meeting, along with John McGlashan of supporters' organisation 'Bees United.
Kris Stewart, chairman of AFC Wimbledon - the non-league club formed by fans disillusioned with the First Division club - will also be at Wednesday's meeting.
