Forest Green Rovers chairman Trevor Horsley says that Gary Owers job as manager is and always has been safe. Owers' side ensured their Conference status for another year after beating Stevenage 2-0 in their final match.
Horsley told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "Hand on heart we've never discussed Gary's future once.
"Last year we got rid of nearly everybody so Gary started with nothing really. He's kept going, brought in good players and done a great job."
