McBride previously played for Motherwell and Celtic in the SPL |
Falkirk have moved to bolster their squad after signing former Motherwell and Celtic midfielder Kevin McBride. The Darlington player, 26, has signed for the SPL side on an 18-month deal and Bairns boss John Hughes expressed delight at the capture.
"I knew about Kevin from my days at Celtic and always admired the way he played football," said Hughes.
"He's a good age for us with his best years still ahead of him. He's got a great attitude and will fit in well."
McBride moved to Motherwell on loan in August 2004 before sealing a permanent transfer from Celtic.
But he struggled to hold down a regular starting place after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
McBride moved to Darlington at the end of last season, but last made a first-team appearance for the Coca-Cola League Two side in August.
