John Hughes admitted to being a proud man after his Falkirk side knocked holders Celtic out of the CIS Insurance Cup after a penalty shoot-out. "I'm delighted for the boys and delighted for the club," the head coach told BBC Sport after a quarter-final that ended 1-1 after extra-time. "I was saying to my assistant, Brian Rice, that it was about time that we got to the latter stages of a cup. "And it was also about time we took the scalp of one of the Old Firm clubs."
