John Stewart has been on the fringes at Pittodrie |
Falkirk have signed Aberdeen striker John Stewart for an undisclosed, five-figure transfer fee. The 21-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Dons' Scottish Premier League rivals.
Falkirk head coach John Hughes told his club website: "John is a player that I have admired for some time. He is young and ambitious.
"He has already impressed in the SPL with Aberdeen and I'm sure that he will continue to improve as a player here."
Stewart has made 62 appearances for the Dons, mainly as a substitute, scoring five goals.
He has featured in the club's five games this season.
Meanwhile, former Hibernian striker Tam McManus is to join Falkirk on trial after negotiating his release from Dundee.
