Matt Glennon was with Carlisle for three seasons |
Falkirk have signed former Carlisle United and Hull City goalkeeper Matt Glennon on a one-year contract. The 26-year-old said: "I came up and had a look at the facilities and was bowled over by the quality of the stadium and training facilities."
Glennon spent three years with English League Two outfit Carlisle.
Player-manager John Hughes said: "He's exactly what I've been looking for, at 6ft 3ins tall, with plenty of experience and an imposing presence."
Hughes has been looking for someone to challenge veteran Allan Ferguson.
"Fair play to Matt," he said. "He had the foresight to look at what we had on offer and was impressed, as I knew he would be."
Glennon began his career with Bolton Wanderers and moved to Hull for 50,000 in 2002 after loan spells with Port Vale, Stockport County, Bristol Rovers and Carlisle.
