Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale mulls over retained list

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale says he is starting to decide which players will be offered new contracts at St James Park.

The Grecians avoided relegation from League One by a single point with Saturday's 2-1 win over Huddersfield.

Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon: "We have to make decisions on playing staff.

"With lots of players out of contract who have been waiting on the result of Saturday's game, I have got a tough week coming up."

Tisdale added: "I'd prepared for staying up and going down. I know roughly what we have to do now and I would have known what we'd have to do if we went down.

"There would have been a huge cut in budget if we'd gone down, which thankfully we don't now have to worry about."
