Exeter boss Paul Tisdale is not planning to make major changes to his squad in the January transfer window.
City lie ninth in League Two with largely the same squad that got them promoted last term.
"I'm certainly not chasing anybody, I'm very happy with what we've got at the moment," he told BBC Radio Devon.
"But if there's a player that fits the bill and won't upset the balance of the side then we have the ability to bring a player in on another salary."
Tisdale added: "We've had a very good season, we're nicely placed and I think we can improve the side without new signings.
"I've got plenty of confidence and commitment in the players we currently have in this squad."
