Defender Jon Richardson has been released by Exeter City.

Richardson, who has played for Forest Green and Oxford, made fewer than 20 appearances for City last season.

Boss Paul Tisdale has also announced that none of the club's second year youth team players have been offered contracts to stay with the side.

Exeter parted company with winger Wayne Carlisle on Thursday as Tisdale's new squad for next season's League Two campaign starts to take shape.

The Grecians were promoted back to the Football League after beating Cambridge United 1-0 in the play-offs earlier this month.
