Tisdale has guided Exeter back to the Football League

Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale has hailed the efforts of everyone involved with the club after the Grecians won promotion back to the Football League.

The club nearly went out of business following relegation five years ago, but are now back on track after winning the play-off final against Cambridge.

"It's not just about the team on the pitch today," Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon after the 1-0 win at Wembley.

"Everyone has pulled together for so long to achieve this moment."

He continued: "It's the trust managers at the club, it's the members of the administration staff, the board of directors.

"I'm glad to be part of the football club that's managed to achieve it. There have been others that have contributed before me and those that have continued to do a fantastic job when the club was struggling four or five years ago."
