Tisdale is eager not to repeat last year's play-off final defeat
Exeter manager Paul Tisdale is focused on winning the Blue Square Premier play-off final after his side's dramatic second leg win at Torquay.
City hit three goals in the final 20 minutes to win 4-1 at Plainmoor and set up the trip to Wembley.
"It's hard not to celebrate and we love the feeling of a victory and going to a final," Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon.
"The ultimate achievement is winning in two weeks time and that's the only thing to focus on."
We were never going to panic
Exeter's Danny Seabourne
Tisdale revealed the ghost of last year's play-off final, where they lost 2-1 to Morecambe, still haunts his side.
"We know the bitter feeling we had last year. We're hesitating in getting too carried away," he said.
The victory over Torquay was similar to last year's play-off semi-finals for Exeter. In 2007, City were behind to Oxford United going into the second leg before eventually winning the tie on penalties.
And captain Danny Seabourne believes that experience helped the side.
"We were never going to panic. We always thought we were the better team," he said.
City will face either Burton Albion or Cambridge United in the final at Wembley on 18 May.
