Paul Tisdale says any new recruits must add to the quality of the squad |
Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale is still aiming to bring a striker to the club as cover for Adam Stansfield. Steve Basham and Richard Logan are the only recognised strikers left after Stansfield sprained his ankle in the 2-1 win over Altrincham.
Winger Lee Elam can play up front, but Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon he still hopes to add to the squad.
"We've looked at bringing someone in, but unless they're right I'm not going to disrupt what we've got," he said.
Tisdale says he has been looking for cover since the 145,000 sale of top scorer Jamie Mackie to Plymouth Argyle during the transfer window.
"I've looked since 1 January. There's lots of players out there but they have to be right for us.
"It would be nice to have someone in if they fit the bill, but as yet we haven't found anybody who fits the bill for us."
Exeter travel to York City in the Blue Square Premier on Monday evening.
