Exeter City striker Steve Basham will be fit for the start of the new season. However, manager Paul Tisdale will not rush the 29-year-old back after he missed the second part of last season with a ruptured hamstring.
Tisdale told the Echo: "The plan was for him to get a run out against Southampton on Tuesday night, but that is probably a week too soon for him.
"He is now likely to play some part in the game against Dorchester or the Swindon game."
