Everton have signed striker Apostolos Vellios, 19, from Iraklis Thessaloniki of Crete for a nominal fee.
Vellios, who has scored seven goals in 14 appearances for the Greece Under-19 team, has agreed a deal until 2014.
The Toffees have also confirmed two squad players will be leaving the club on loan until the end of the season.
Joao Silva, 20, has joined Portuguese first division side Uniao de Leiria while Kieran Agard, 21, has secured a move to Scottish outfit Kilmarnock.
