Jagielka eager for FA Cup clash

Carlos Tevez & Phil Jagielka
Jagielka says he is happy with the game being played at Wembley

Everton defender Phil Jagielka says his side are hitting form in time for their FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester United on Sunday.

"It's nice to see Steven Pienaar, Marouane Fellaini and Leon Osman playing good football," he told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"But it's a bit worrying we're conceding a few as well.

"Hopefully [United] will be a bit tired after their Champions League tie and we can take advantage," he added.

"We've done well against the top four, so far as the performances have gone," Jagielka continued.

"Results-wise it hasn't been brilliant, but we've only lost by the odd goal. If you're in a cup game and you're a goal up or a goal down, then the game is never over.

Jagielka also said he was happy with the decision to play the game at Wembley.

"It would be nice to give the fans a taste of Wembley. Hopefully we can make that place more familiar over the coming seasons," he said.

"We needed a good cup run. We didn't start the best in the Uefa Cup and the League Cup so thankfully we pulled our sleeves up in the FA Cup.

"I'm sure the fans will be delighted going to Wembley."
