Nash says he was a childhood fan of Everton

Everton have signed goalkeeper Carlo Nash from Wigan for an undisclosed fee.

The 34-year-old Nash, who joined Stoke on an emergency loan deal in March, will provide cover for American stopper Tim Howard.

Nash, who has also played for Man City, Middlesbrough, Preston and Stockport, has penned a two-year deal with the option for a third year.

"There have been a few sleepless nights hoping it would go through," said Nash, a childhood fan of Everton.
