Everton defender Dan Gosling has praised the work captain Phil Neville does with the Blues' younger players.
Gosling, 18, signed from Plymouth in January and has featured in midfield for Everton in a number of their pre-season fixtures.
"Phil is a great help to all the young lads and to me especially," he told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"He has given me a lot of good advice since I've come and he is really a great professional."
Gosling is part of the first-team squad manager David Moyes has taken on a pre-season tour of America.
The Blues will play two friendly matches against Chicago Fire on July 30 followed by a match against Colorado Rapids in Denver on August 3.
Gosling added he is hoping to get some more playing time ahead of the Blues season-opener against Blackburn on 16 August.
"The Premiership's not too far away so hopefully I'll get a few games out in America and get some good performances and some good results."
