Stubbs is in his second spell with Everton |
Veteran Everton defender Alan Stubbs has signed a one-year contract extension at Goodison Park. He told the club website: "It was pretty straightforward to be honest. It is not as if I am 21 and it is going to get complicated.
"I am happy to be signing and proud I'm still able to play in the Premiership at 35 years old. It is a nice moment."
Stubbs returned to Everton in January 2006 after a frustrating six-month spell at Sunderland.
He had previously spent four seasons at Goodison Park, making 117 appearances after joining on a free transfer from Celtic.
During his second spell with the Toffees, Stubbs has made 38 appearances.
