Everton manager David Moyes has played down speculation linking midfielder Simon Davies with a move to Fulham. The 27-year-old Welshman has been rumoured to be a Cottagers target and was left out of Everton's team for the FA Cup defeat by Blackburn on Sunday.
But Moyes said: "There is nothing in it at all. I wanted James Vaughan in the side and wanted to get him involved.
"I chose not to use Simon because we also needed a defender as Nuno Valente has suffered with a hamstring problem."
