Everton have received a mandatory �25,000 Football Association fine after eight of their players were shown cards in Saturday's Merseyside derby. Seven of David Moyes' side were cautioned in their 3-1 defeat and Andy Van der Meyde was handed a straight red card for elbowing Xabi Alonso.
Any team that has more than six players booked in one match is automatically punished by the Football Association.
Two Liverpool players were booked, while Steven Gerrard was sent off.
