Everton suffered a pre-season friendly thrashing at the hands of Fenerbahce as their preparations for the Champions League went awry in Turkey. Fenerbahce's Alex was Everton's main tormentor, but the Toffees contributed to their downfall with poor defending.
The Turkish side led at the break after goals from Tuncay and Marcio Nobre.
James Beattie wasted Everton's best chance, before goals from Mehmet Yozgati, Alex and Onder Turaci completed the rout.
