Dutch winger Andy van der Meyde has completed his �2m move from Inter Milan to Everton after passing a medical. The 25-year-old is currently recovering from a minor groin problem but should be fit to make his Everton debut some time in September.
"I am happy I can show my football again because it has been a long time for me," he told the club website.
"I believe in the team and the club and the trainer and I think it will be a good year for us," he added.
Van der Meyde, who began his career at Ajax, can play on either flank or as an attacking midfielder.
