Campbell is in the last year of his Everton contract |
Everton have turned down an approach by Leeds to take Goodison Park striker Kevin Campbell on loan. Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell targeted the 34-year-old in a bid to push his 19th-placed team up the Championship table.
But Everton manager David Moyes said he would need all of his players over the hectic Christmas and New Year period.
"We will be very reluctant to let any of our players leave because the squad size doesn't allow that," he told the club's official website.
Everton play Manchester City on Boxing Day and visit Charlton on 28 December as they try to keep the pressure up on Premiership leaders Chelsea.
Struggling Leeds face a tough trip to Sunderland on 26 December and play host to Plymouth two days later.
