Ebbsfleet striker Michael West happy to get attention
Michael West scored 25 goals for Ebbsfleet last season
Ebbsfleet forward Michael West insists that being watched by Football League scouts will not affect his game.
"I have an agent who tells me," West told BBC Radio Kent. "But, if I let it bother me, it ruins my performances.
"At the moment, I'm an Ebbsfleet player and I can't go anywhere because the transfer window isn't open."
The 20-year-old, who scored both goals in Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Luton is thought to be attracting the interest of a number of league clubs.
West, who is a product of the club's youth scheme, scored 25 goals in the club's promotion season from Blue Square Bet South and his pair against the Hatters takes his tally for this season to five.
"They can come all they want.," he said. "It's good. It lets me know I'm playing well. I must be doing something right.
"I'm only young, I want to do well in my career as a footballer."
West signed a new one-year contract in the summer and, although he wants to play league football, that does not necessarily mean he wants to leave.
"Hopefully we can get Ebbsfleet up there," he said. "This is my local club, I live 10 minutes down the road, but I want to play my best wherever it takes me. It's a good area for producing youngsters."
Meanwhile, Fleet winger Ricky Shakes scored his first goal for his country Guyana in their 1-1 draw with Bermuda in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night.
