Zaluska eyes double celebration

Dundee United keeper Lukasz Zaluska
United keeper Zaluska will be a Celtic player next season

Lukasz Zaluska hopes to be a hero for both Dundee United and Celtic when the season reaches its climax on Sunday.

The United keeper will join Celtic next season and can help the champions claim a fourth consecutive title by shutting out Rangers at Tannadice.

A win for the Ibrox club would see them clinch the title but the home side need a point to secure European football.

"I have two huge reasons to perform at my best on Sunday," explained the Polish international.

"Scott Thomson, the goalkeeping coach here at United, said to me I can be a hero for both United and Celtic if I play well and we get the point we need against Rangers.

"I like that kind of pressure and it would be a double bonus if I can make sure United win a place in next season's Europa League and, in some way, help Celtic win the league.

MY SPORT: DEBATE

"But at the moment my only priority is United. The manager, fans and everyone here have been fantastic to me in my time here and I'll never forget that."

If Dundee United lose to Rangers, Aberdeen can leapfrog them into fourth place with a win at home against Hibernian.

Zaluska, 26, agreed a pre-contract move to Celtic Park in December.
