Dundee United manager Craig Levein said he was delighted for Gordon Strachan after Celtic clinched the SPL title.
"The league table doesn't lie and Celtic have won the title on merit," said Levein.
"It wasn't about tonight though, it's about having the resilience to do it over the course of the season," he added after the 1-0 defeat.
"I'm happy for Gordon. He got a lot of stick and I know what that can be like. But he showed courage and belief."
United's 1-0 defeat by Celtic saw them finish fifth in the SPL, a point behind Aberdeen.
