Szamotulski has been in excellent form for Dundee United |
Dundee United manager Craig Levein has persuaded goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski to extend his Tannadice deal for a few more weeks. The Pole's contract was due to expire at the end of the month but he has now agreed to stay until 30 January.
Lukasz Zaluska is still some weeks away from full fitness, which would have left United with young Euan McLean as their only established goalkeeper.
Szamotulski, 31, has been in great form since his August arrival on Tayside.
He came to Scotland as a free agent, after leaving Austrian side Sturm Graz to provide injury cover for summer signing Zaluska.
But his performances for United have led to him being linked with a move to Celtic and several top clubs in England.
