Daly has scored twice since arriving at Tannadice |
Dundee United striker Jon Daly is facing up to six months on the sidelines with a knee injury. The Irish forward, who arrived from Hartlepool in January, was hurt during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Inverness.
"This is a massive blow for us and he'll be out for something like four to six months," manager Craig Levein told the Evening Express.
"I was looking to bring in another front man, but, hopefully, we can get Jon back sooner rather than later."
Daly has scored just twice in 13 appearances for United but Levein has been impressed by the forward's contribution.
"I really feel for the boy, because he's been doing really well for us in recent weeks," added the manager.
"He has shown a tremendous work-rate and a desire to do well, which has been appreciated by the supporters."
