Craig Levein believes his side are growing in confidence |
Dundee United manager Craig Levein was disappointed to leave Celtic Park with just one point after his side lost a two-goal lead against the SPL leaders. "If you had asked me before the game if I would be happy with a draw, I would have said, yes," he told BBC Sport after the 2-2 draw.
"But, if you asked me with 20 minutes to go, I would have said no.
"I know it's a point at Celtic Park, but it is a wasted opportunity. We were in control until their first goal."
United have undergone a revival since Levein took over from Craig Brewster and have lifted themselves clear of the relegation zone.
"I think there's more to come from the players," said Levein.
"If they can translate the believe that I have in them on to the park, they would be a better team.
"Out confidence has been improving, but we were still not strong enough to continue doing the things we had been doing before they got a goal.
"If they had been, they would have closed the game out."
