Grant Brebner must now look for a new club |
Grant Brebner is the latest player to be told that he can leave Dundee United, as manager Craig Brewster continues his rebuilding plans. The 28-year-old midfielder signed from Hibs two years ago.
A statement on the club's website read: "Craig Brewster said he was surplus to requirements for next season and felt the player needed a fresh challenge."
Derek McInnes, David Fernandez, Jim McIntyre and Paul Ritchie have already been told they can leave United.
Brewster added in the Dundee Evening Telegraph: "I spoke to Grant this morning and told him he was free to find a club.
"He is a good friend, but, on a professional level, that had to stop when I arrived here.
"I still think he has great ability and won't be short of admirers, but I have to go on performances since I arrived here in January."
