 | SCOTTISH CUP FINAL |
Dundee United manager Gordon Chisholm was full of praise for his defeated players after the Scottish Cup final. "I asked the boys to give me everything they had and I couldn't criticise them in any way. For 90 minutes, they gave everything," he said.
"It is always going to be difficult against Celtic and we lost an early goal which we didn't want to do.
"Alan Archibald was unlucky with his strike which hit the bar. Sometimes, you need a bit of luck," he added.
"But it wasn't there for us today. I was surprised that he hit it because it came on to his wrong foot. I'm sure he hit it with his right foot. He caught it sweetly but he was unlucky.
"We had a couple of other chances but any opportunities you get, you have to take."
