Daquin made 19 SPL appearances for Dunfermline in 2006/07 |
Dundee manager Alex Rae is delighted to have completed the signing of former Dunfermline midfielder Frederic Daquin. "I'm relieved this is done and dusted as we've been chasing Freddie for a while," Rae told the Evening Telegraph.
"Freddie has real good quality, a fair bit of experience having played at a high level, and will certainly improve our squad.
"He's athletic and has quite a bit of pace. I think he'll do really well in the First Division."
Frenchman Daquin, 28, joined Dunfermline in Januray 2006 but failed to establish himself as a first team regular.
"We didn't really have anyone for that wide right position and we've asked Kevin McDonald to fill in a lot out there," added Rae.
"This could be the chance for Kevin to move back inside, where I think he plays best.
"I'm still talking to other players, including Paul Ritchie, and, ideally, I'd like to have another four in, giving us a good first-team squad of around 20."
Meanwhile, Rae confirmed that former Ajax youngster Khalid Hamdaoui has left the club.
