McLaren said he intended to keep playing |
Andy McLaren has vowed to continue his playing career after leaving Dundee by mutual consent. McLaren, 33, left the Scottish First Division club on Wednesday after he was red carded three times in the 2-1 league defeat by Clyde.
"I'll be back in the new year. I've been offered training facilities by a few clubs and I intend to keep playing," McLaren said.
The winger said Dundee had been "first-class" with him.
Dundee chief executive Dave McKinnon held talks with manager Alex Rae and the player following the incident.
McLaren, who won his solitary Scotland cap against Poland in 2001, has also played for Reading, Dundee United, Kilmarnock and Partick Thistle.
