Wilkie has barely played in the past two years |
Dundee have given Lee Wilkie and Tam McManus until Thursday evening to decide on offers the club have made. Chief executive David McKinnon said he outlined the club's proposal in "open and honest" talks with the players' agent, Charlie Duddy.
The players were asked to take a pay-cut in June as the club continue to try to cut costs.
Wilkie faces another long lay-off after rupturing cruciate ligaments in his knee for a second time in April.
Meanwhile the club will notify all Scottish Football League clubs that fringe players Andrew Ferguson, Mark Allison, Stephen McNally and Craig O'Reilly are available for transfer or on loan.
